National Library Week

What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities.

National Library Week, April 6–12, 2025, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning.

At the Bethel Park Public Library, we invite the community to join the celebration! Whether you're a longtime patron or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all the library has to offer. Our library provides online courses, in-person classes, story-times, computers, 3d printing, guest speakers, guitars, book clubs, gaming groups, crafts, and so much more ensuring that everyone has access to resources that educate, inspire, and connect.

Whatever draws you in, the library has something for everyone. Whether you’re preparing for a career change, launching a business, raising a family, or embracing retirement, the Bethel Park Public Library is here to support your journey. Libraries serve as hubs for learning, creativity, and connection, helping people of all ages explore new ideas and opportunities.

Book Donations

Materials donated to the library must meet the same standards as other materials for inclusion in the library's collection.  If a donated item is not added to the collection of BPPL, it may be given to another library, placed in the library's book sale or discarded.  The revenue from any item sold will be used to benefit the library.  All gifts are accepted with the understanding that someday it may be necessary to deselect the item(s).  The library cannot commit to perpetually housing a donation.

With the limited storage space that we have, we are now accepting donations ONLY ON THE FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH from 10AM - 5PM.

The Library is happy to accept both adult and children's fiction and non-fiction titles as well as CDs/DVDs, games and puzzles in good condition.

The library cannot accept items that are:

Marked

Yellowed

Brittle

Infected

Musty

Damaged

Duplicates of an item which the library already has a sufficient number

Outdated items

Condensed/abridged titles

Textbooks
