POWER Library

Access Pennsylvania / POWER Library is a collection of eResources that include a shared catalog for materials owned by most PA libraries. The POWER Library provides access to thousands of reference materials for people of all ages.

This project is made possible in part by Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funds from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services and through Library Access Funds administered by the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Department of Education, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Tom Wolf, Governor.

This includes:

eResources (examples include Auto Repair Source, AP Newsroom, Gale E-Books, and Transparent Language Online)

Chat with a Librarian (24/7 live chat with a librarian)

PA Photos & Documents (Explore thousands of digitized documents and photographs from unique collections in libraries across Pennsylvania.

Author Coriana Hope at the Library!

The Forged Flower Saga is an exciting fantasy adventure series about the daughter of SnowWhite, Princess Chrisithia. She rebels against her destiny as a picture-perfect royal heir in favor of a life of sword fights, danger, and dragon familiars. Coriana Hope will take you through the journey of writing the series from inspiration to publication, with special focus on the history of some traditional fairytales and their influence on the setting and characters in this original second-generation fairytale of her own.

Thanks to the generosity of the Jack Buncher Foundation, all participating Allegheny County libraries will receive a pro-rated portion of a $200,000 match pool to support their general operations. Special thanks to NiSource Charitable Foundation and Columbia Gas for their additional match pool contribution.

All donations received during September 2026, up to a maximum of $500 per donor per library, will count toward the match pool.
